This rug features a new take on traditional materials. Igusa — rush grass used to make tatami mats and enza — is woven with hemp to create a contemporary design.
These rugs are made on an old weaving machine that requires artisan supervision. The machine can only create one rug every 3–5 days, making each rug a rare work of effort.
The Yabane pattern is inspired by the look of arrow feathers, with the symbolism of aiming true at your targets. Be sure to check out the Asanoha
pattern as well.
