Kyo-Kanaami is a Kyoto-specific style of woven metal. It has a history going back to the Heian period, over 1000 years ago. It marries durable metal with a delicate aesthetic, resulting in a timeless piece that will accompany you for years.
Made by the storied Kanaami Tsuji workshop, this basket uses a style of weaving called 'Kikudashi,' which results in a tortoise shell pattern. Due to the waved edge, the pattern changes depending on the angle you view it from.

Care Instructions
