The stone tray offers a way to appreciate two sides of the iconic hon-komatsu stone: the smoothed surface and the organic edges.

The smooth facade looks clean and sleek, but by allowing the edges to retain the original characteristics of the stone in its natural state, it becomes a dynamic decor piece.

The hon-komatsu stone is sourced from hardened lava left from an eruption 400,000 years ago. This lava flow exists in just one town, which is home to the oldest stone industry in Japan.
