Handstitched using repurposed textiles, the Sashiko Pillow Cover has a subtle yet intricate embroidered pattern. The line pillow is made with one type of stitch and is available in five color tones ranging from warm creamy to cool blue hues. The pillow is available in three variations: Line, Wave and patchwork.

We felt particularly drawn to the handmade pillow covers by Mr. Akiyama, which all embodied a sense of dynamism and playfulness. This traditional technique of sashiko stitching, dating back to the 17th century, was often used to reinforce garments and protect the wearer from the cold.
