With three distinct bamboo varieties, two shapes, and three sizes, take a personalized approach to selecting the perfect pair of chopsticks — whether you prioritize comfort, grip, or the beauty of the material itself.
Gomadake, meaning "sesame bamboo," is visually distinctive for the tiny speckles across its surface. These are the result of an aging process unique to certain bamboo stalks, giving them a one-of-a-kind character.
Square chopsticks provide enhanced control, particularly when handling delicate foods. The flatter profile at the tips makes it easier to grasp slippery ingredients like noodles or sashimi.
The chopsticks come with a circular holder that doubles as a rest you can use while you eat.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN
Miki Bamboo
Founded in 1877 in Kisshoin, Kyoto, Miki Bamboo has spent five generations refining the art of bamboo craftsmanship. Unlike many producers, they maintain full control of their process, from harvesting raw bamboo to shaping the final product.
Bamboo is ubiquitous throughout Japanese culture, involved in refined practices like tea ceremony, flower arrangement, kendo, kyudo, calligraphy, and incense ceremony. But Miki is inspired by the material itself and feels its use in a humble chopstick is just as meaningful because of the role it plays in your daily life.
