Available in black and natural, the mug is unglazed, exposing the warmth of the clay. Over time and with regular use, they will develop a slight gloss, allowing you to enjoy the various surfaces.
ABOUT THE ARTISAN
The mug is handmade by a family-run business established four generations ago in Mie Prefecture. Entering the business as clay makers and sellers in 1913, the family has deep knowledge of the soil of the local area and how to develop it into clay that is most suitable for pottery. In 1972, they branched out into making teapots of their own.
