Sake Cup - Fuji

Only produced in small quantities, these delicate sake cups come in three colors and five different shapes. They are crafted using a specialized woodturning technique requiring extreme precision and skill which was developed in the mecca of Japanese woodworking, Yamanaka in Ishikawa prefecture.

Gato Mikiko Shoten is responsible for coordinating the production of these pieces among multiple artisans and workshops in the Yamanaka area. From wood turning, to urushi application, to final touches, each piece passes through the hands of expert artisans.
