Handcrafted pitcher by Masako Nakagami.
Nakagami creates her pieces in the picturesque countryside of Oharano, southwest of Kyoto. Taking inspiration from nature, her works are characterized by soft texture and organic shapes, while also highlighting the original texture of the materials she uses.
In this collection, the artist has created pieces in a warm, soft white color to resemble the snowy mountains of Oharano. To add texture and warmth to the neutral color, she has used red clay gathered from the mountains near her home as a finishing touch.
