Hoji tea powder is a premium hoji latte powder. With its nutty and roasted flavors, you will be able to enjoy the umami of the hoji tea even with a blend of milk.
Along the slopes of the mountains in Wazuka lies rows of neatly trimmed terraces of tea bushes. With its fresh air and temperature variation during the day, it is the ideal climate for tea production. Two hectares, or five acres, of this region belong to Kirokuen, a tea plantation succeeded, owned, and managed by a mother and her two daughters.
Kirokuen’s finely ground tea leaf is 100% pure single-origin, made with the youngest tea shoots. These first-picked tea leaves are the finest in quality and rich in nutrients that not only provide long-lasting and stable energy, but also antioxidants, vitamins, and amino acids. For those interested in the tea leaf version of matcha, we recommend Ten Tea.
Preparation: Sieve the amount of hoji powder you will be serving. For one serving, pour 6-8g (about 3-4 tsp) of hoji powder into your cup and 60ml (2oz) of hot water at 100°C (212°F). Whisk with a matcha whisk or frother until smooth. Pour in 150ml (5oz) hot or cold milk of your choice, and sweeten it to your liking.
