The Indigo Canvas series is created by Awagami Washi, which operates out of a small village called Yamakawa-cho in Tokushima prefecture. While their main business is handmade washi paper, they also use indigo dyes to create beautiful artworks of their own.

They make these pieces onsite in their indigo-dyeing studio. Each one features indigo dye on washi canvas, using traditional techniques like hakkezome to achieve contemporary designs.
