Pieces of Kyoto - Imari - Advanced Kintsugi Kit

To encourage new entrants to the art of Kintsugi, we are limiting the purchase to one piece per kit.

Born in the town of Arita, Saga Prefecture, Imari-ware became famous as it was imported to Europe in great quantities throughout the 17th century. It can be easily recognised with its use of blue underglaze with red and gold overglaze.

Our Kintsugi team has sourced unique, storied pieces from the antique shops and flea markets of Kyoto so you can participate in the city’s strong, second-hand culture.

Although each piece’s breaks are unique, they are vetted by our Kintsugi instructors as beginner-friendly. You can rest assured that whichever you pick, it’ll be an appropriate challenge to help you gain confidence in your skills.

While all pieces are compatible with the standard Kintsugi Kit, you can also pair them with the Advanced Kintsugi Kit if you want to take on additional repairs.
