Oryoki, meaning "vessel that contains just enough", is a set of six nested wooden bowls that have been traditionally used by Buddhist monks. While most Oryoki have a glossy finish, our matte version lends a modern, timeless appearance.
These bowls are handcrafted by Japanese master artisan Nakade Hiromichi and are only available in limited quantities. Mr. Nakade specializes in the manufacture of Oryoki, which require extreme precision and mastery of traditional woodworking techniques to create. He is one of the few artisans left who can produce Oryoki of such high quality.
