Mamebachi Kōro
This style of vessel is traditionally coated in lacquer and used as an incense burner on Buddhist altars. This version, however, opts for a matte metal finish to make it more compatible with the sensibilities of a modern home.
Kōro offers an elevated incense experience: try using it with both traditional incense and the more elevated resin vaporization method.
You can also use it as a catch-all container or a decor object in its own right. The heft of the metal gives it a premium feel, and the charming shape is at home in any room.
As the altar industry faces decline, incorporating traditional pieces into contemporary life helps preserve the legacy techniques and mixed styles of craftsmanship.
