Gato Mikio shoten

Orchestrated by Gato Mikio Shoten, these bowls are handcrafted by Japanese master artisan Nakade Hiromichi and are only available in limited quantities. Mr. Nakade specializes in the manufacture of Ōryoki, which require extreme precision and mastery of traditional woodworking techniques to create. He is one of the few artisans left who can produce Ōryoki of such high quality. 

Takahashi Kogei

For over a century, Takahashi Kogei has been carrying forward the 1500-year-old woodworking traditions, specializing in Echizen lacquerware. Rooted in Fukui’s rich craftsmanship history, their work is defined by meticulous attention to detail, timeless design, and sustainability. Their product mission is to create pieces that are designed to last for the next 100 years.

Double Double

Each fork, spoon, and knife is hand-carved and made by Wataru Sakai, a woodcraft artisan based in Fukuoka, Japan. His philosophy on craftsmanship is designing with impact - creating items with functionality. While they should also be pleasing to the eye, he explains that the meal is the main character. For this reason, his effort goes into crafting cutlery that enhances the experience of eating.

Fujikawa + Yoshida

Wooden objects for the home made by master carpenters Fujikawa Takuma in Nara and Yoshida Woodworking in Keihoku, Kyoto. By harnessing the nature inherited from their predecessors, the carpenters work with sustainably sourced hinoki wood, helping to rebalance the ecosystems they're a part of. They create beautiful furniture that brings the nature of Japan into the home.
