About the craft
The tableware is made using kijibiki woodturning and lacquerware techniques in Yamanaka Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture. To highlight the original beauty of the tree and ensure the durability of the ware, craftspeople opt to saw tategi-dori following the direction of the wood grain.

Wooden wares may expand or shrink with change in temperature and humidity.
Please keep wooden wares away from heat sources such as radiators and fireplaces.
Avoid the use of microwave ovens.
Direct exposure to sunlight may alter the original color of urushi lacquered wooden ware.
We recommend hand-washing with lukewarm water, as machine washing and harsh soaps may damage the integrity of the product.
Avoid soaking the wooden wares in water for long periods of time as it may cause distortion.
After washing, dry completely before storing in a well-ventilated location.
